Carnavel

While I'm stuck here in the cold and snow while Carnavel is about to start, I'll share some pictures from Carnavel's past on Isla Mujeres.

Lots of cervesas ready and waiting for the crowds to descend on the square.

Love the parades throughout the week all over the island. 

And the best part of all the FOOD! 

Followed closely by the game of chance, where you can win or lose your pesos.  Loved watching and playing this game.  Not sure what the name of the game really is but those cards are a great way to learn some spanish.

It's March but spring still seems like an awful long ways away here.  Wish I was in Mexico.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  I'll be sharing some stories of travelling to places in Mexico, mainly Quintana Roo.  We spend most of our time when there on Isla Mujeres but take some side trips. 

 I'll start though with a look at the temperature at home tonight.
